 STUDIO POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

BASIC PRACTICES

  • We reserve the right to cancel any class with insufficient registration.  All faculty members are subject to change.  In the event of a change, we will always substitute with an equally qualified instructor. 

  • For the safety of our dancers, we do not allow class viewing. 

  • A respectful attitude and regular attendance is expected at each class from a student and a parent. A disruptive student  or a parent will be dismissed if a class is interrupted. 

  • When you register for a class or any trial class, STUDIO SAPPHIRE reserves the right to take photos of you or your child and post it online while participating in Studio Sapphire activities for promotional, marketing, and social media purposes like Facebook, youtube, instagram, tik tok etc.

  • We reserve the right to place students according to their age, ability, and dance experience. Some classes require prerequisites or permission of instructor.

  • Teachers reserve the right to create and choreograph routines based on requirements by certain performance expectations or freewill. 

  • Studio Sapphire reserves the right to own any choreographies taught to Sapphire students in the studio premises at all times. 

  • All the classes held at the studio in a weekly basis is recreational.

  • We do not offer baby sitting or adult sitting services. Every adult must be held responsible for their own behaviors.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. 

  • A respectful attitude is expected to be maintained by the students and parents inside and outside the studio with one another as well as the teachers. 

  • We reserve the right to update/ change policies , procedures, tuition cost, show fees, dance routines, classes or make any new changes at Studio Sapphire at any given time with no notifications. 

  • When you enroll, you sign, agree and adhere the studio policies.

MAKE UP CLASSES 

  • Credit will not be given for missed classes due to illness, rainy days,  snow days, or personal commitments, planned vacations, holiday trips, events, birthday parties, races, functions, Disneyland, Legoland visits etc. Students may make up emergency missed classes within the same month, in any appropriate level class that has an opening or via zoom. Emergencies example are death in the family, accidents, Covid, doctor visits with a note, funerals etc. 

  • Zoom link is only for students to make up classes or attend classes when they can’t attend in person. A private zoom link will be given to student/ student’s parents for class attendance. Please email 24 hours in advance to request the zoom link to attend the live class online. 

  • When a student sustains an injury that does not permit them to participate over an extended period of time,  a credit or refund will be issued. In some cases, a doctor’s note is required.

  • If a very young student is not ready to participate in a class after several visits, a refund of tuition will be given only for the unused classes.

  • If a class is cancelled due to insufficient registration a full refund will be given. 

TUITION AND FEES

  • One trial class is free, after that a fee will be assessed for any class.  Exception Drop in class is $25. We require monthly or full season enrollment due to limited space.

  • Tuition is non- refundable. Tuition is pro-rated in the beginning of the enrollment. There is no refund when you enroll and change your mind in the mid month. Monthly fee for that month is still valid since the spot was held for your child.  We require 30 days prior notification to stop the monthly Autopay. For your convenience,  we make auto pay/auto billing available.

  • An annual registration fee covers non-tuition essentials such as insurance, music licenses, studio communication administration and helps keep your monthly tuition costs lower and tax free.

  • You can cancel the enrollment at any given month. 

  • Private or group (also private ) zoom class is the same cost as normal class.

  • There is no sibling discounts for monthly or pay in full tuition. Nevertheless, we do offer sibling discounts for our in- house recitals. Show fees are subjected to change. 

CLASS DRESS CODE AND ATTIRE 

  • Tennis shoes, comfortable clothing like leggings, joggers, shorts, tee, and water is a must. 

  • Water is not provided and a dancer must stay hydrated. Studio Sapphire will not be held responsible for injuries caused due to improper shoes or dehydration.

PERFORMANCES AND SHOWS 

  1. Registered for classes minimum twice a week is recommended but not required or mandated. This will help build their muscle memory. Some kids do well even with once a week class, every kid is different.

  2. Additional rehearsal classes beside the normal weekly scheduled classes may or will be required.

  3. Rehearsals, costumes, show/ participation fees, ticket fees in some cases will all be at extra cost. 

  4. Teachers reserve the right to create and choreograph routines based on requirements by certain performance expectations or freewill.

  5. Participants will be selected based on various reasons and requirements for the performance like age, level, skill, attitude, stage presence, behaviors, class participation, including parents’ behaviors and attitude. There is no specific requirement. Therefore, a spot is never guaranteed. A respectful attitude and regular attendance is expected during travels and performances from a student and a parent. A disruptive student or a parent will be dismissed from the studio or performances.

  6. There is no guarantee that if a student is selected for one performance, than he/ she may be selected again for another one. We are not a competitive dance studio, therefore, we don’t conduct auditions. Selection process is entirely based on the performance/ choreography need at that particular time under the venue and teachers’ discretion.

  7. When you participate  for a performance, STUDIO SAPPHIRE reserves the right to take photos of you or your child while participating in  any Studio Sapphire  or outside performances for promotional, marketing, and social media purposes.

  8. We reserve the right to creative expressions and the freedom of students’ placements in any dance routines according to their age, ability, dance experience, and a teacher’s judgement. A dance routine shall not be changed by a parent’s request at no given time. 

  9. Some performances are held in large venues with no crowd management. Studio Sapphire shall not be held accountable for any thefts, damages, or emotional disruptions in and outside the studio.

  10. We do not offer baby sitting or adult sitting services. Every adult must be held responsible for their own behaviors. 

  11. Performance communication is conducted via texts and or emails. Please check your spam for any missed communications.

  12. A contract and waiver must be signed for every performances by a parent/ guardian agreeing to the terms and conditions of the studio and the venue.

Please email all your concerns, feedback and questions via email. After class is not the right time to ask questions due to our very busy class schedules. Some teachers teach classes back to back so the best way to communicate will be via email at sapphiredancefit@gmail.com. We will get back to you within 48 hours.
